We made it back north for a visit this summer and I had taken a professional tote to a friend. I hadn't had time to make one for my other friend so had offered one to her if she wanted. She did and she wanted it in Purple, Blue and Green. When I returned home to Florida I went looking for that color group. Quilts n More in Port Charlotte had it all in one and it was a Blank Fabric. Guess it had been out for awhile but it was there when I needed it. Pattern #5273 along with the Purple contrast pattern #5276. Thank you Blank Fabrics. She loved the bag.

Thought you might enjoy what I did with fabrics from both lines. I found it this past February in an Amish quilt shop in NW Missouri and just had to buy some of it, not even knowing at the time what I was going to do with it. It has turned into a baby quilt for a gift, along with the Dr. Suess book "Mr. Brown Can Moo. Can You?". Books and quilts...does it get any better?

The barn block is from Fons and Porters "Love of Quilting" magazine earlier this year. The rest are just traditional blocks.

Now if I could just find more of the fabric in a store closer to home! (The old order Amish don't have telephones, so not easy to see if it's worth the drive there to take a chance on finding more of the fabric.)

I loved the Marrakesh Collection the moment I saw it and knew that I was going to use it for my bedroom. The sea foam and brown is a great color combination and the stripe was perfect for the dust ruffle and curtains. Coordinating colors of Splash matched perfectly. Mulberry Twig in Wheat was used as the background fabric. The leftover "scraps" from the flying geese blocks were used to make matching pillows.

Owning and running a small quilt shop on my own has really cut into my sewing time so I have had to find other creative ways to use the fabrics I love. Making lampshades was the answer for me. Here is a a shade I made from the Barnyard II collection.

My friend, Sandy Narayan, is helping me make samples for my stores to borrow. Here she used the Maribella to make this cute Simplicity Apron. She used the Contessa Court and the Shopping Pretty pattern to make this cute purse. I am lucky to have a friend that has as much fun with Blank fabrics as I do!

I love Patrick Lose patterns because they are so whimsical. This Wintery Welcome banner is made using Simply Delicious for the snowman and Jet Black Eclipse and Splash for the rest.

This purse is great with all of the pockets! I made it using the Fun Dip and a pattern called Shopping Pretty.

I thought you would be interested in seeing the items two members of the Main Street Quilt and Thread Guild of Round Rock, TX, created using the Blank Fabrics we received as a result of joining the Stash Bash. Raffle tickets for these items were sold to guild members and the proceeds from the raffle were donated to Doctors Without Borders to help recent earthquake victims.

These great fabric creations are only the beginning though! Several of our members are participating in a Mystery Fabric Challenge using the Stash Bash fabrics. The projects will be judged and winners will be announced at our April 27 meeting. I will send you pictures of each project and winner information after that date.

Thank you for the great fabrics! We still have several fat quarters left and I'm excited about the prospect of future guild projects using this fabric! Liz Bell, President Main Street Quilt and Thread Guild, TX.

Last November I was lucky enough to spend 3 days in Palm Springs CA. I was free to visit all the quilt shops in that area. Monica's was my favorite. That's where I found your fabric Yoshiko II. I have included pictures of the first project using that fabulous fabric.

I used Lisa Moore's pattern "Diamonds with a Twist" to make this topper. I embroidered the quilting on the center of the 3 blocks with metallic thread. Joan Brown, Dana Point, CA

My Dad passed away last Sept. He was known for his wild shirts(which I made for him). The brighter it was the more he liked it. When Mom was cleaning out his stuff I asked for all of his shirts back. I made each of my brothers and sisters and Mom (7 total) throws to remember him by.

On the front of the throw I cut the fronts of the shirt in strips leaving the pocket. I cut up the rest of the shirt into squares and rectangles and formed blocks. On one pocket I attached a photo key ring, which I placed a photo of my dad in one of the shirts I had made him. I handed them out at Thanksgiving. One of the photos was Mom and Dad. Each throw was placed in a bag, I had no idea which quilt had the photo of Mom and Dad. Everyone picked a bag. Later when I was visiting my Mom I looked to see which one she got. She had the one that had the picture of the two of them. I guess they were truly destined to be together. Being a quilter and someone who can not waste things, I was able to also make 3 jackets and manage to still have a few scraps left. I had 18 shirts to start with and scraps that were left after I originally made the shirts. Marietta Grajek.

I was asked to design a block of the month for a local quilt shop using Bethany Reynolds' Paisley Pleasures fabric. I utilized a kaleidoscopic effect in the 12" blocks, corner stones and sashings. I named the quilt IN LUCY'S EYES -- after my mother, who passed away earlier that year. Nancy Myers Newaygo, Michigan
